The design is a vibrant reinterpretation of the Pride flag, featuring horizontal bands of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. On the left side, there is an added chevron with colors representing transgender pride (pink, blue, and white) and brown and black stripes symbolizing inclusivity and diversity.

This 2019 update to the six-stripe Pride flag includes a chevron to indicate our need for further progress and greater equality. The designer, Daniel Quasar, notes that they added the black stripe to honor the victims of HIV-AIDS, the brown stripe to honor POC queer people, and the light blue, pink, and white stripes to honor our trans siblings.
