The design is a vibrant reinterpretation of the Pride flag, featuring horizontal bands of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. This 2019 update to the six-stripe Pride flag includes a chevron to indicate our need for further progress and greater equality. The designer, Daniel Quasar, notes that they added the black stripe to honor the victims of HIV-AIDS, the brown stripe to honor POC queer people, and the light blue, pink, and white stripes to honor our trans siblings.
