I am GROOT Notebook

“From the Gridiron to the Galaxy: Groot Takes the Field In this latest mashup from Lower Deck Cards, we’ve fused the power of the NFL with the heart of the Marvel Universe. Meet Groot Rousseau—a reimagined Greg Rousseau Buffalo Bills card, now sprouting bark, branches, and badassery. This one-of-a-kind artwork transforms the fierce defensive end into Groot, the beloved tree warrior from Guardians of the Galaxy, catching you off guard with its unexpected harmony of football grit and cosmic charm. Hand-painted over a vintage football card, this design is part of Lower Deck’s signature style: blending nostalgia, pop culture, and street-art energy. The textures of Rousseau’s jersey are now overgrown with roots and moss, while the football field fades into an alien forest under starry skies. His stoic expression and towering presence are a perfect match for Groot’s loyal strength and quiet power. Whether you're a Bills fan, a Marvel head, or a collector of the weird and wonderful, this piece taps into that sweet spot where sports and sci-fi collide. This is more than fan art—it’s a remix of memory. A celebration of the unexpected. A shoutout to the kids who grew up with trading cards in one hand and comic books in the other. Get it on a tee, a hoodie, a print, or whatever helps you say, “I am Groot.””
