Colourful animal ink illustration portrait of a baby mandril, a vulnerable species of monkey. Hand drawn using Pigma Micron marker pens and coloured with Promarkers, I used one of my own photographs as a reference for this drawing. Mandrills are primates with a very unique appearance and live in the tropical rainforests of west central Africa. These monkeys have vibrant blue cheeks (less bright in juveniles as seen here) with a pink nose and long yellow beard. The fur on their bodies is grey.
