When I saw that the design contest theme was "bad mascot," I immediately thought of the panda; with its fangs and a physique resembling a fierce carnivore, it looks like a wild beast. Yet, in reality, the panda is a plant-eater—subsisting mostly on bamboo. It’s a bit of a contradiction: it looks ferocious but is actually incredibly lazy—almost as if it’s breaking the rules of the animal kingdom. That idea inspired a design that blends the panda concept with humor—specifically, a vegetarian panda—and includes the text: "Don't judge solely based on appearance." I created the design in a vintage style, hoping it would resonate with people who choose a vegetarian lifestyle despite having a fierce appearance.
