Through these fungal networks, fungi communicate with each other and—among many other functions where mutual care is the protagonist—transport nutrients to plants and defend them from diseases. If we want to advance as a society and as a species we will have to take care of each other, but above all we will have to take care of the other species. Everything is inextricably linked.
