The challenge was

Design a tee featuring Cookie Monster, Elmo, or Oscar the Grouch.

Some monsters are optimistic and cuddly, others crusty curmudgeons. But whether they’re sweet or salty, some of our favorite monsters live at 123 Sesame Street. A few of our pals from Sesame Street are paying a visit to Threadless, and they want you to come out and play!

Cookie Monster, Elmo, and Oscar the Grouch want to star in your next t-shirt design. Use one or all of our fuzzy friends to create the best Sesame Street tee yet. Just remember to keep it clean, kiddos; no adult content is allowed.

Now scram! And start drawing!

The winner received

  • $2,000 cash

  • $500 Threadless.com giftcard

  • A one-of-a-kind personalized portrait of the winning artist with their favorite Muppet from Sesame Street drawn by a Sesame Street artist. This 8.5x11" black and white sketch will be based on a photo provided by the winning artist.
