As a gay trans man, Abprallen founder Erik created this London–based brand as a way for people to embrace the parts of themselves they’ve been told not to love. Referencing issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community, his collection celebrates individuality and self-expression. Aesthetically, Erik draws inspiration from the unknown, focusing on themes of mysticism and the occult. Using bright pastel colors, he puts his own twist on dark subjects such as skeletons, guillotines, and the Grim Reaper himself.
