  • Dudes, it's 2 colours. The light brown is a shade of the dark brown. It doesn't need to be halftoned in the submitted artwork, that can happen during the set-up for printing.

This is all I needed! Thanks Mike

I'm not a print expert, but I'd say if mine counts then his counts. it might technically use a different color for screenprinting, but ours and some other designs I've seen have used colors at different opacity levels but was counted as one.

But isn't your design using 2 colors just with halftones? I'm just gonna drop this anyways, since it's not my decision as to whats kosher and what isn't. I don't know, now I'm just confused.

  • They use a similar process for selecting MADE artists, but its on whichever pillow Whiskers throws up on.

  • Since no one seems to be telling you the truth, I'll drop some knowledge in this thread.

First, every design that scores a 2.5 or higher, is printed on a pillow, that is then placed in The Holy Chamber of Selection. Then they release Whiskers the Threadcat into the The Holy Chamber of Selection. Over the course of the week, which ever pillow he sleeps on over night is then used for next weeks prints. Any pillow he takes a cat nap on will be saved for next week, with a chance of being slept on over night. All other pillows are donated to Pillows for the Poor, a local charity that provides pillows for the poor.

Hello guys, I had time to make something for the competition! Mine is pending :)

Nice, but I think this is 3 colors, not including the shirt color.

This is a 2 color print design, no warries! ;) and this is up:

I'm pretty sure this is 3 colors, fella. If it were halftones, or opacity changes due to erasing, I'd be on board, but I see 3 distinct colors. Because of this, the question remains as to whether or not it will make it through the Threadwars mediators.

Is the lighter/muted brown just the dark brown at like 50% opacity? Because then it is two colors. But I believe from a printing perspective, they treat it as a separate color. This could be totally wrong, I'd like to hear from MelMike or someone who prints things, to get their opinion.
