  • So awesome! Congrats Alex! I knew this one would be a winner the moment I saw it. Anyone know who the other winner is? (they were awarding 2 winning designs, right?)

  • So, if you have a design that you submitted here, are you allowed to have it on Society 6 available for prints? (not tees?) not sure where the grey area is.

  • I would agree. I've been watching the Causes stuff really closely, and submitted a few designs myself. I noticed that with the low number of total scores, the down-votes have been having a bigger impact. The one design I'm really pulling for (of mine) and watching closely, has been on a roller coaster! I just decided to stop worrying about it because it's obvious that Threadess and in my case DNA is going to make up their own mind no matter what the score says. They are going to like certain designs for certain reasons and choose on their standards. (and maybe, those standards are different than the normal Threadless standards...who knows)

anywho...the long scoring periods have done a few things in my opinion. If scores really are going to be a big factor in choosing the design, I think that the people who submitted late are going to have more of an advantage. So, again, I don't know how much weight they are putting on the scores...we shall see. The other thing the long scoring periods have been doing to me personally, is drawing out the worry over the competition. Not worry really, it just keeps me coming back and checking on my score, etc. Usually, it's a week of scoring and then there isn't anything you or anyone else could do about your score. Now I feel like there's more I should be doing about it...

And yes, I think the ratio of 1's to 5's is really crazy....I'm astonished with the amount of 1's not only my designs received, but, also, with the amount of 1's other designs received. I think that again, it has something to do with down-voting, and a lot of new people coming in and submitting a design for the first time on the Causes challenge (which is ultimately good for Threadless and good for the Cause)
