They're souls, like tomassi said, albeit somewhat sperm-looking.

That's probably the best description for St. Mary Maytag that I've heard, ever.

It's kind of amazing, I think there's always a 50/50 split between people telling me that they look like sperm, I got a lot of those at the convention too. I guess it's just a very unforunately coincidence?

And I swear, they're not molesting her, just very... curious, and appropriately, she is less than amused.

oh oh, also, since you mentioned that, I was really annoyed that I couldn't remember myself, so I dug up the original, and lo and behold:

  • I think I remember seeing something like this before, where a guy sent a camera through the mail and asked postal workers to take random pictures of themselves. But yeah! Pretty cool idea, I'm up for it.

  • I have a soft spot for Rosetta as a name, or something like Mia, which sounds sort of like a cattish noise.

Also, I highly agree with pseduonymjones's Schroedinger suggestion.

  • I think that's more to do with the different file systems the PC and Mac uses. The Mac uses HFS+ file system which will store any file in 4Kb blocks, so even if a file is about 1.5K it'll show up in Finder as 4Kb.

Either way, it's pretty annoying, since it's always a rounded value.
