For those wondering about Budi's numbers, it was our goof.

Jake responded on Budi's post on Facebook, but here it is for everyone else to understand: Sorry Budi, there is an error here. Royalties being 20% of net profits, they will vary depending on how much each item is sold for. The minimum royalty (even if there is $0 net profits) is $0.25 per unit. On a full price, $25 sale, you'd earn about $2.50 per unit. We discovered that over the last 20+ days, your design was wrongly discounted to $9.95 so you were earning minimum royalties on most of those sales. We discovered the issue and set the price back to the full $25. We'll be in touch to discuss making it right on the difference.

Ok, my apologies as you were right to highlight this Budi. Although I still think that the tee you mentioned is still under a different, older contract, as QBF mentioned above and so would never earn you 20% of net.

You earn 40 cent per tee! This will be another big reason for artists to move on to Artokingo where they get $5 (£3) per each sale!

I recognize some artists on there ;) but how many people have heard of it and buying from it, when compared to Threadless? Royalties is only comparable when looking at volumes and unit percentage figures together.

I made even less than that. 67 tees sold, 23.50 royalty. That is approximately the price of one t-shirt.

Not meaning to be disrespectful but knowing Radiomode to be a bit of a sensationalist at times, I just want to clarify the full facts here.

I'm guessing this is your worst performing product and only a small portion of your royalties data, therefore does not paint the full picture.

Was 'Worst T-shirt Ever' actually reprinted after April 1st? If not, then it would still come under the old Ts and Cs. Even if it was reprinted after the changes, would it be under the new standard royalty tariff anyway (20% of net)? or was it part of a Simpsons Challenge and therefore under a different contract, at a lower rate of more like $0.25 per unit sold?
