If you made the tie the color of the shirt, then you'd have the one color you need to make the bowling ball green. That would really drive the Maggrite connection home

Maybe he's supposed to look happy.. but to me the zombie in front looks way to happy for someone who is walking the earth undead in need of brains.
Also it might work better with the title if the zombie in front had his arms stretched out with palms in like he was reaching out to hug someone
Oh! what if you had someone running away from one of the zombies in back?

I have to agree with Kalien
It might help a bit if you used a more contrasting color scheme to help the illustration pop more. Try Black or Dark blue on a light colored shirt like Orange maybe.
Also the different parts of the illustration need to be seperated, it took me a couple of minutes to tell that the guy on top was sitting on someone else, is that uncle sam? Maybe contrast isn't the problem, perhaps you should start with a black outline and fill in some color.

I like the idea of him lying on top instead of standing. It might also help to put a couple of female lions lying at the bottom, maybe he'd look less out of place if he had some friends.

You wouldn't by chance be a fan of Frank Cho would you?
The drawing reminds me a lot of a particular drawing of his character Brandy from Liberty Meadows.
That being said I maybe part of the key to making the birds look like smoke, is to draw somke coming out of the box, and then have the birds emeging from the smoke. Not sure if you could do that in photoshop, but I bet you could draw it by hand.
I'd start with the smoke, large billowing puffs rolling out of the box (with some of it collecting around the womans feet), then add in the birds and draw them so you couldn't tell where the birds started and the smoke ended. Hope that makes sense, it's pretty clear in my head, not sure if it comes across in type.
