@meatneadr - it has nothing to do with Japan. The two aspects of the shirt that causes some people to relate it to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (as well as I myself for a split second) is the depiction of the sun, which is symbolic in many Japanese art as well as its history as you may already know. Also the fact that at first glance the tree, grass and people seemingly look like it was burned away from intense heat. I can see how someone, whether they been to Hiroshima or studied its history can garner this correlation from the imagery though. But alas it is just a zombified family, before and after.
