Lines. These marks, once layered, develop an illusion. Every line is necessary; the style of comic art consists of exact placement of strokes. My art can be described as a ball of contending and contrasting lines and shapes that bounce off of each other creating a whirlwind of playful tension. I refer to my works as “universes” because of their complexity and overall orb-like quality. I enjoy using line as a means of expressing a certain fragile space within a chaotic network of contour.
