I'm with Widgett. Roos in the grocery store... there goes the neighborhood.
Awesome design. I love the theme going on with this and Hungry Hardy Hippo. I like it on blue or pink.

It has a very similar feel to as the world turns, but not quite as clever or cute. It's been done.

I didn't think it was really that confusing... Why would someone by waving a light bulb around?
The red totally captures the oppresive heat. I love that the water looks like it's boiling.

Hmm... actually, the small waist, large bust as depicted in this very fine submission was the very HEIGHT of fashion in the Edwardian era (~1901-1910).
For instance: http://www.fashion-era.com/images/Edwds1890-1915/lilacpinkladiesx26.jpg. The dresses depicted in the link, as in the submission above, are (if I'm not mistaken) Bodice pouched Edwardian day dresses.
If anything, MonkeyTongue could be accused of making the women's waist too large and thus more realistic than would have been depicted in cartoons and fashion magazines of the time period.
I like it. But as you might have gathered, I'm a huge fan of La Belle Époque. $5.
