Far from the truth, Lemon. I can do both abstracted faces and realistic faces, with abstracted designs much more fitting my taste for tees. I did not attempt to make a funny face, as the expression on this face is one more of shock than any type of humor. But that is not even the point. Expression of self - not by the face but of the style - is beginning to be one of the most important aspects of art to me. That means creating a world that is not necessarily gratifying to the observer but gratifying to me. I don't care how good someone thinks a piece is; if I don't like it, I'm crumpling it up because it is a failure. Face No. 1 does not tell any type of story. It is a work that captures a number of Illustrator strokes in a way that is pleasing to me. It has not been done in Threadless before, and even if there really isn't anything NEW under the sun, at least there are things that are far less common. On a shirt, the composition and colors SIMPLY WORK. And in the city, the composition and colors SIMPLY MATCH. Did you imagine, perhaps, how this shirt would look with baggy sandblasted light blue jeans and clean white or black Air Forces? In my opinion, this shirt would look damn good with it. And like I said before, even if it doesn't win, I am hand-painting this shirt very soon for myself. No prize but pleasing myself nonetheless.
But hopefully, some people share this gratification with me. That's the main way it will win. :)
Anyway, this submission was made in error; the colors are screwed up and it was not removed from Threadless (compression issues). This is the true, correctly-colored version:
So if any of you want to "transfer" your votes, please do so! (Unless, of course, this goes against Threadless' policies; I'm not sure such an issue happened before, as they do not accept "copies" (even though I asked them to remove it before it is processed - and they said they did!) so I am unsure of what to say or do).
And if a Threadless staff member is reading this, please delete this submission and keep the submission in the link. Be careful, though, they are the same name.
Thank you for the votes and feedback.

Yes, this looks good. I don't like gangsta motifs, though.

I think that the colors are slightly bland together, but the overall design is solid. Not a color that I would wear, though.

Thank you for the votes and comments. It is good to see that there are many people willing to open up their minds when it comes to art.
I don't know how many of you have actually seen hand-painted tee-shirts, but this will look great if it was actually painted. In a few checks from today, I will make this shirt for myself regardless of whether or not it prints.
But hopefully it will... I would love to wear a contest-winning tee that I made to my art college interviews.
^I like that adjective.
