Get rid of the gray box surrounding the teared heart. Move the heart either to the center, or to the left, where the heart would usually be, but make sure the placement is tasteful. The heart also seems a little squashed. Try stretching it out vertically. Your design should look like it belongs on the shirt. Good luck.

Nah, I agree with you. Even if Twitter did think it was too close for comfort (which it really isn't), the birds would look great in any color. I'd pick a different color shirt, though. The grey kinda mutes the blues. Try out a light yellow or something that doesn't heavily contrast with the birds. Other than that, perfect.

I like it. The change in opacity takes away from the design, though, IMO. The bird is a little reminiscent of Twitter, too. Not that that's bad, just felt like I should point that out.
I wanted to add an explosion right after I submitted the first version and used Littlestwhitelight's suggestions.
