Threadless Survivor's Guide ! Updated: Logo contest !

LOGO CONTEST

I need a logo for the website, and I was thinking that it would be cool to involve the community in this!

Instructions:

  • Include the text: "Threadless Survivor's Guide"

  • Stay (rather) minimalist

  • No more than 3 colors. Monochromes are great too.

  • Post it as a picture on this thread.

The idea is to do a website, where you have everything you need to download / see when you arrive on Threadless. I could host it on my website.

If you have ideas, feelings please tell me!

Great idea. In the FAQ you could have blog etiquette and posting info too. I wish there was website like that when I started.

Not sure of the name. This site would be more of a pharmacy than a medical kit. Many different sections with different things all related to one subject.

Would be smart to include a download it all option. Where one click gets you EVERYTHING on the site. That would be more of a first aid kit Could be called a Threadless Survival Pack.

flash templates could be a sub category under t-shirt templates: Photoshop Flash

Maybe swap out the ambulance for something t-shirt related. Or just replace the + with a t-shirt silhouette.

FlyingMonkeyMan

How about combining them together? You know, like Threadspotting or Threadstaff.

So it would be like Threadtools or the Threadkit.

FlyingMonkeyMan

didn't see those last 2 posts. =P Survivor's Guide is nice too. =D

This is turning out great, If you put etiquette in there somewhere, call it theadtiquette. I always liked that term.

It's the proper way to behave on the site.

Like posting your own submissions in other peoples submitted designs is bad etiquette.

It is good etiquette if someone posts a crit on your design that you return the favor.

It is good etiquette if someone comes up with a title on your design that you give them credit for it in the first comment of your sub.

I'm sure there are others, but I am drawing a blank right now.

Looks great! But Threadless is making a film how to for the newbies. Instead to write, I think you'd make some clips in youtube. Many people don't good at reading english. ^^

Thanks for the idea YaaH , but the idea is really to have a "platform" where you can download everything you need as a newb (or less newb) . But the idea of videos is cool, I'll think yo it.

Pez Banana

Super cool and generous initiative!!!

Etiquette guide is a must.

definitely Treadtiquette guide.

once the Threadless intro movie is made we could also link it in to this place. I think it will be wonderful for newbies to find everything they need in one place.

i'd be happy to help with content, programming help (i've made a bunch of websites, i can show you a portfolio), or anything else you need. just let me know:)

Great idea!

@ Jellyes : Thanks a lot, but I have a programmer friend so I think it will be ok on the code side but I would be glad if you would help with content!

This is what i'd use:

THREADLESS SURVIVOR'S GUIDE

TEMPLATES Photoshop Male Model Female Model Blank Shirt 01 Blank Shirt 02

Specialty templates (link to submit page)

Flash Presentation 2 Slide 3 Slide 2 Slide Roll-over

TUTORIALS Creating Halftones Creating Brushes Applying my design to the shirt template Preparing my submission files

FAQ Why was my submission denied? What do the color limits really mean? How do they chose whats printed? When will I know if my design is chosen? Will my design be printed?

This is a super cool idea! What I'm wondering, when the new Threadless website arrives, will everything still be the same for presentations? (size dimensions, the ability to still use flash, etc...)?

Manupix

This is way cool =)
