china $1= 8RMB(renminbi)

taxi ride = 6rmb (.80$)
pirated dvds = 8 rmb(1$)
mcdonalds big mac with fries and coke = 15 rmb (1.90$)
branded overrun tshirts= 60-70rmb (7.5$)
(u can buy an original diesel t-shirt here for only 7$ )
it's very cheap here.

Vindicator03

ya nga eh, i'll be going to the ateneo next year. :)

Vindicator03

bad_nobe, pare, everything is made in china.

lldemosthenesll

I just realized that I think I screwed up the pricing for the hotels. Most of the "good" hotels here are $500-700 a night, but they aren't 5 star. The only 5 stars here charge $700 for basic rooms with one bed to $20,000 a night for the suites/stuff the stars and famous people use. It's so extreme.

backtozero

$twenty thousand a night? Okay... :( It makes me sad.. quite...
I mean there are far more important things than that. Yeah but whatever..

backtozero

Vindicator! Tatanong ko sana yun.. hehe.. Ayus, Ateneo! Tapos na ba yung ACET?

Kawawa yung mga kabatch mong magu-UP kasi magtataas na daw by 300% yung tuition... at sa next year's freshmen magstastart yung increase. :(

backtozero

badnobe, mura nga lahat!
Yung mga kakilala kong nagtatrabaho sa China, laging may isang bag na puno ng piratedvds.. ewan ko lang kung mahigpit pa ngaun...

bakit naman ayaw mo na dyan? Ay, you're a graphic designer there, ayt?

backtozero

oo nga eh :(

hah, you surely can ACE the ACET!

And yep, we get paid to have babies, cos no one wants to have them!

But then again, the amt which's paid is... not too substantial, if you factor in the cost of education, necessities, food, shelter, clothes, childcare and all that stuff!

=)

that's cheap for americans but most filippinos can't afford things... it's expensive. i'm from the philippines... grew up in europe, but currently living in the states :)
