Childhood drawings.

So I'm at my parents' house this weekend, going through old boxes and files, and found a bunch of drawings and sketches I made during junior high. I just scanned them, and thought I'd share them with y'all. Enjoy! or not. whatever.

  1. "The Destroyer"- This was the cover to a story I wrote in like 5th or 6th grade.

  2. Batwing minotaur with crystal sphere?

  3. Kill-Razor - nuff said

  4. Ninja-bot?

  5. I think I copied this from an G.I. Joe Extreme comic.

  6. The Tick

If you have any copies of old childhood sketches, let's see 'em !

I'm pretty sure I traced this and told my dad I drew it:

Oh man I love these. Kill-Razor!!

All of these are elementary school drawings, but I don't remember what age exactly. Maybe first or second grade.

Then I learned about Dragon Ball and that's all I drew up until high school.

Junior High project, for a Middle Ages world civ. unit. We got to choose a group or ethnicity from 13th Century (either Arabs, Byzantines, Crusaders, and some other group) and do a bunch of research on that group. Then there was a bazaar where we dressed like our focal group and "traded" crap we had made.

Here, have a pamphlet on 13th Century Muslims.

I kinda miss making reports by pasting in photographs, then recopying the page. And running out to Kinko's at midnight the day before it's due to finish the goddamn thing.

Apparently I couldn't think of anything for I.

Also, I don't know why I didn't include any type of illustration for the last page, but it's probably a good thing I didn't try to draw you-know-who!

This blog brings the happy!

I drew lots and lots and lots and LOTS of models wearing different clothes and hair-dos, turned out to be good practice for fashion illustration class in college :)

I recently threw out boxes full of childhood drawings. Only one I saved was a self portrait that I did in kindergarten. I'm actually going to frame it. I'll scan and post it tomorrow if I remember.

It was weird seeing the stages I went through. Scribbles to family/stick people, speed boats/monster trucks, dragons, etc.

@sonmi holy crap!!!! I totally did the same thing in first grade! I mean...mine was about the last unicorn who wasn't REALLY the last unicorn because she had a baby...I felt so guilty for stealing the name of the movie! I'm glad I'm not the only one who did that.

All I drew when I was little were unicorns, mermaids, princesses, and catwoman. I'll have to find those and scan some in too.

Awesome blog! I love the destroyer!!
