Just an idea I've been playing around with based on the infamous Microsoft blue screen of death.
Good concept but the artwork needs to be a lot more funkier. Try drawing a real hourglass and pop the timer pixelated version in there. Also, remember death is a lean character and should look menacing. I think Micro-death would work well at a 3/4 angle, slimmed down.
PS Also the hands would look better as skeleton hands.
PPS Sorry if that all sounds too negative, keep on at it!
Thanks - the artwork is a little lazy as it's just my initial concept.
I like the idea of a realistic hourglass with the pixels in and I wanted to convey a kind of robot/computer death, hence the robot hands, but I'll try and give them a skeletal/robot crossover.
I hadn't realised I'd drawn him so fat either!
Not negative at all - any suggestion is good to read.
Have you seen this link? ;D
I agree. Make him thinner, with skeleton hands and make a more vector drawn or even cartoon drawn hourglass (i.e. ink) and you will be fine. Not even sure though if you need the hourglass. A thin death with the weapon and skeleton hands would suffice. Actually a digital timer might be better, or computer generated to go with the theme.
