Shadow of a Saint

This is a redo of an old design. I have redesigned the figure. Flattened the shadow just gray and added a glow-in-the-dark feature.

4 colors + 1 glow-in-the-dark

It currently feels like it's lacking something. So, ideas?

Also, what color to place the design on?

Thanks in advance for all ideas and here are the first two threads.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm liking it so far,but am more than welcoming ideas for improvement. Any help is good help.

the street lamp shouldn't be there imho...
especially since the shadow doesn't look quite right if the street lamp is the light source

Southwind

I like this design! I'd change the placement a little bit. maybe make the design bigger and move it down a little bit. It's really cool though!

check out mine!

wilbury

I like everything as is except for the shadow underneath the lamp...

ryonbazzle

is that Ryan Seacrest?

AlexPLeith

Haha... no, it's not Seacrest.

And, as far as the shadows, they are pretty accurate based on the streetlight positioning.

mister hill

I like it! Perhaps without the lamp though?

If you can, could you please check out

Wow, thanks for all the comments.

If I get rid of the lamp post, what should I add? I have tried designs without it and it feels very empty, which is also why I added the glow-in-the-dark ink to make it seem more important.

MariaSurducan

leave the lamp post, but make the devil more... well.. devilish. Don't bother with shadow accuracy, just make so it looks good and stands out - after all, that devil is a reflection of the inside... So... make the tail more wiggly, make the horns a bit more evident...

and if you have time , take a look at my devil

Here are a few changes... mainly to shapes and connections. Horns larger, tail longer and shadows cleaner. What do people think? And, thanks for the comments so far. Hope to submit this soon so I can get back to what I'm suppose to be working on, and maybe a travel submission.

ReLem

I really like this concept, very cool idea.
I think that the glow in the dark might be a bit unnecessary, as it doesn't contribute much to the meaning of the design.
Also, the perspective of the shadow seems a bit off, especially the tail.

MegsBanana

I really like this design! I agree with ReLem on the perspective of the shadow. I think it could use a little tweaking.

AlexPLeith

Thanks for the comment. Any other ideas?
