Miss or Ms. ??

What's the actual difference? Is there a clear one?

What should I make my grade 10 students call me next semester?

i think ms. might imply you were married, but now are not...?

i dunno

this.passion.is.a.plagiarism

Miss is for an unmarried woman while Ms. can apply to any woman of any marital status.

Rambunkcious

Miss imply single never been married and Ms. is kinda like declined to state status other than female

It's true.
It's science.

Hahaha @ gramma

Sex ed could be a lot of fun! I think as teachers we get a front row seat at some of the best comedy available.

But yeah. you're right, they'll just call me whatever the hell anyways.

Are Miss and Ms. pronounced the same or do people kinda say more "Mzzzz"?

courtney pie

Captain Julie is genius.

juliejeremiah

"Miss Julie" would be my dominatrix name.

juliejeremiah

"Madame Julie" would be my name if I ran my own brothel.

courtney pie

high five on "madame" sounds sorta glamorous too

"#27" would be your name if you worked in said brothel

I thought Ms. was a whole Sassy magazine female empowerment thing? I always think it sounds kind of cold tho, like the s is accented as a "z" so it's, "I'm not Misses, I'm Mizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Julie, thank you very much!" Which also works for the dominatrix thang.
