as an australian I am offended by the exclusion of Dame Edna, as a human being I am appalled at the missing Groucho Marx. Appalled I tell you!

mfgeorge

love the design, not feeling the colour...

AmyJW

Yes, Groucho is a must.

Duffnut

Looks like Chewie...

All you favourite will make an appearance in volumes II and III. Besides - Groucho's specs are too similar to Lennon's to be included in this Volume. And Dame Edna is a character - these are actual personalities, as mentioned in the blurb at the top.

I love it - I know at least two of my speccy friends who would love this. And my eyes have been doing strange things recently, so it's possible I might have to join their ranks.

I was gonna say Charles Nelson Rilley but you basically have the sunglass version of his in Jackie O's. =)

catalina_s

thekevinmcgraw

i've seen something very much like this, with most of these people; but the glasses were all straight on instead of from different angles.

chelly

specs are sex

I like to think mine has a bit more class :)

aled profile pic Alumni

And when you say 'most of these people', you mean Lennon.

thekevinmcgraw

so you applied an existing idea to a few new people? groundbreaking. besides, i much prefer the grey and black 2d look and consistency of the other tee.

illeagle

where's harry caray :(

Thanks for the links Kevin. The one you found buried on flickr is the only one with a similar concept, but most people on Threadless will appreciate the subtleties of my design over the slogan name tagging of that design. The other one is just spec silhouettes so there wasn't really any point in posting that one. Unfortunately there are no original ideas - as Adam White said, above - he had this same concept 4 years ago, but I think this one remains different enough from the ones you found.

sillybanana

The difference is I would buy THIS one, and the other ones are boring.... And really it's all about the moulah!

deaddovedonoteat

I like it a lot, I;d prefer a slightly more exciting shirt color in the background as long as it doesn't mess up the design.

Twiggyhall

Me likey! I would totally wear this.

I love the history bit involved in this and hand drawn stylin.' I might say the best tee ive seen displaying eyewear. Rad!

Fatheed- I always think that that line "there is nothing new" is the biggest artistic cop-out in the world. There are obviously new things, and we see them from week to week, it's justnthat this is not the most unique idea. But no one has done it with so much paniche and captured the spirit of the people within their eyewear so well, so sometimes doing something a bit better is good enough for me. I wouldn't wear the other versions of this idea...i'd wear this one. 4$

jessthecat

$5. Loving the work.

dids

wow !! so 5 $ !! and i love Jackie O =]
