A few weeks ago we hosted a three-day UNICEF Voting Challenge.
So many of you came together to score designs and benefit people in need.
We’re happy to announce the randomly selected design-scorers who will soon open their mailboxes to find Good Shirts donated by Threadless! Even better, we’re donating $711.30 to UNICEF in name of these three community members.
Seth Valenziano will receive the Therapeutic Milk Tee
($85.75 donation paid by Threadless)
Emergency feeding centers, refugee camps, and hospitals use therapeutic milk to treat severely malnourished children. This life-saving formula includes vegetable fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. $85.75 can provide 30 pounds of therapeutic milk powder.
Here’s what Seth had to say:
It feels great to help others. I am an enthusiast when it comes to helping those in need (I even was a translator in a medical clinic in the Dominican Republic) and to know that this donation will be life-changing to someone out there gives me the heebie-jeebies, but the good kind.
Rowan and Kathryn Gossett will receive the Basic Family Water Kit Tee
($125.55 donation paid by Threadless)
Clean water is precious, especially in the Horn of Africa, where UNICEF reaches more than four million people with its water and sanitation efforts. $125.55 can provide 1 basic water kit, which can help provide clean water to 10 families. Each kit contains buckets, collapsible water containers, soap, and water purification tablets.
Here’s what Rowan and Kathryn had to say:
We're really glad we could take part in this program! Helping others gives us this warm, fuzzy, feeling inside... like we swallowed a kitten!
Ryan Astle will receive the Water Pump Tee($500 donation paid by Threadless)
A water pump can provide clean, safe drinking water for an entire community. It also prevents women and children from having to walk miles, often in dangerous situations, to fetch water for their families. $500 can provide a water pump that can service an entire community.
Ryan will also receive special artwork by artists, Justin and Christine Gignac!
Ryan can add the Water Pump tee to his Good Shirts tee collection because he already has the Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets tee!
Here’s what Ryan had to say:
I've been a fan of Threadless for years, but I just recently started participating in voting, reading blogs by community members and submitting a design or two this past year. It's a really cool place to browse and hang out online. :) Being part of a contest that helps UNICEF makes it even better. :)
Thanks to everyone who participated and if you haven’t yet, check out the possible donations you can make to this great project. If you have $300,000 or even just $18.57, you can do good.
