A lot of your work has the perfect shading, does it take a lot of practice to be able to see where the shadows need to go in your work, or do you look at objects for help?

harishdmx

your works are just new every time how do you come up with such creativity everytime?

  • Describe your perfect burger
  • You've submitted almost over 600 designs - more than anyone else on the site, what keeps your creativity flowing? What advice can you give artists who have no idea where to start?
  • Majority of your designs are very simple illustrations with a cute factor, Is there a medium you wish you experienced more with?
  • A couple months ago you won an atrium contest and got to meet Will Ferrell, what was that like? Did he smell nice?
  • What's your biggest goal on Threadless for 2013?
  • What are some cool projects you're working on now?
  • Was there a certain theme you were going for in your collection?
  • What's your favorite unprinted design and why?
  • What was it like illustrating your first children's book in university?
  • If you weren't doing art as a career, what else do you think you'd see yourself as?

What does influence you in your illustration style? Who would you consider as your mentor or if you have any illustrators in particular you look up to?

Queeg500

YES! About time this happened! Big fan! Very deserving of a Made collection!

On average, how long would you say it takes you turn an idea around from the initial idea of a concept to finishing the illustration?

Thanks for answering my question! I cant believe that shading technique never occurred to me! You're awesome Aaron! Keep up the good work!

Finally got a chance to watch the whole vid. Nice job guys! I would have asked what beer Aaron was drinking cause I'm assuming it wasn't Threadless IPA (but probably something good since he bothered to use a snifter). Cool glass btw. Anyway, Jess seems like a bit of a lightweight the way her interviewing skills became impaired there towards the end ;) (maybe just my imagination). Meanwhile Bob and Aaron just smiled on, haha.

I actually had some strange polish beer, nothing fancy to be honest, glad you liked it, felt like I was stumbling on words a lot.

Nice interview. Are you an adventure time fan? (those finn&jake dolls on your bed must have seen some things). Also, if you like beer you should try some Belgian beers...
