Aww, I actually liked that shirt too. Not being a member of the 12 month club and seeing a shirt you like get printed is a lot like having a good friend in school move away and go to a different school.

So, was the 12 club prize bumped up to $1,000 too? And I assume you still get a 12 club membership (1 year).

i have to win with the new amount...i just HAVE to. now only if i submit something....'cause like the man said,"'it's like lotto- you gotta be in it to win it"

I really don't want to sound stupid, because the rules seem quite self-explanatory. But seeing that I am new and all, is the 12 month thing something you have to pay for? If so, then that's a bummer because I don't think I'll ever get any of those t-shirts.

haha at bortwein's analogy. I don't know anyone else who would look at it that way..

Eh... I gave it a 1.

lay down $250 (right?) or else be lucky enough to have a shirt picked for print in the twelve month club. i still don't know, are the twelve month shirts desided to be BETTER than the other winning shirts, second best, or just too good to pass up?
omgpancakes
yeah, it costs $200 for US customers and $250 for international customers to join the 12 Month Club.

bort- it's more like walking by the window of a fancy resteraunt and seeing happy people eating good food as you go home to eat ramen.

I only think of it that way because it's not like if you joined now that you would get any of the shirts they have already printed, so if they printed a design you liked then it in a sense gone forever. Short of hunting down a member that wears your size and beating them up for their shirt.

The 12 club shirts seem to be more niche from what I can tell. Stuff like this is something a lot of hardcore Threadless people would love, but not many shoppers who stop by once or twice would ever wear it, or subscribe to the 12 club. Those hardcore Threadless people though, they're much more likely to drop the $200.

travis: the difference there is that if I wanted to go eat at that resteraunt after saving up the money, they would still be serving the same menu to pick from. It's not like you'd go to a resteraunt that has a secret surprise menu every time you go to it.

I'd eat at that restaurant. "What? You only serve cashews and chocolate? But I saw somebody eating lobster here last week!"

Just saying this to say it, the last 12 club shirt wound up on eBay quite a few times. If anyone really likes this, check there in a week or two.
