Concepts yes or no? Hmmming bird done?

these are all great, 2 and 4 are my favorite.

2 and 3 for me.

I like the classic tortoise and hair idea, with a little more like they are about to race and the back bag could look like the tortoise shell.

I'm loving 1. Though I feel she should be bigger like she's expecting but it's really because of the food.

All of these are very funny! I think 1 and 2 are the strongest. Strangely enough I have a doodle of number 4 I made a while ago. Great minds think alike.

Humming bird for me. Maybe another bird next to it with its fingers in its ears looking annoyed. (Oh wait, birds don't have fingers. Oh wait, birds don't have ears).

heh yeah it's a bit weird, I do it because I like to decide the expression and where they are looking in photoshop

You're right, the handwing does look funny, but I really like this concept. I think it's going to be pretty hard to convey since birds don't have hands, but having a bent "elbow" might help it to read better?

Have you looked at "hand chin thoughtful" on google images to see if you can morph one of those poses into bird form?

I just had a fit of rage and deleted the file I was working on this image, going to try a different angle. I think the google image search is a good idea I will use that and get back here with another sketch.

I'd actually bend the wing in the foreground up and lose the new one. Guess it doesn't really need to be like a hand as long as you can nail the gesture. Just my two cents. But I definitely think you should work it out coz I reckon this one could be a real winner.

Ah, the good old fit of rage, we've all been there before. I can picture it with the front wing folded across it's chest, and since it doesn't have much of a chin maybe put the other wing under the beak. Look forward to the next sketch.

Oh, new one went up while i was still writing. Sorry, I think the original was better. The new one looks kind of like it's making a throat slitting gesture.

Sorry but when you said humming I thought you meant like humming a tune (hence my annoying another bird idea above). Not sure I connect with the direction this is going in as I see this as a um more then a hmmmm but it could just be me.
