Version 2: New, but is it improved?
Version 1: Stupid and Old
Maybe a "propeller beanie" hat on the kid?
Hows about "Time waits for no man" or "Sands of time" or something similar as a title?
I had drawn a baseball cap, and didn't really like it. I'll try a propeller hat!
It took a while to get so I would make the kid younger and the old man older. You could even have an empty / dead one.
I agree it needs shadows underneath and some shine on the glass. You also might consider just testing some more vibrant colours to see if this is exactly how you want it.
I dunno, this one's hard to name
Really awesome concept and nicely illustrated. I personally didn't have problem reading the different generations (or life stages) in it, but some attribute for the boy will definitely help. I'd suggest going for something easily recognizable and 100% toy / kids' stuff. For example I think a toy truck pulled by the boy would work better than aforementioned propeller beanie. What do you think? And do add shadows beneath them and some light in glass but keep it simple the way it is now.
Title? How about : "The Hourglasses" - as in plural surname > english speaking folks do correct me if it's wrong - it's not my native language.
Family Time, grandfather time, a time for all ages, making time count
Like father like sand
I was also going to say Family Time so +1 for Perry. Other ideas: The Times, Time of Your Life, Good Riddance

I definitely agree that the ages need to be exaggerated. I thought about adding a dead one, but that seemed a little out of place with three happy hourglasses. I actually thought about making a second illustration with a dead hourglass that had been cracked and sand leaking out of it... just another idea.
Lots of great titles, I particularly like "Time of Your Life" maybe "Time of Their Life" would work... I'll update with some additions and see if a really definite title emerges from it.
Updated some stuff. Thoughts? Titles?
YES, improved! I'd think about removing grandpa crows feet, seems like a bit too detailed compared to the rest, but it's no biggie at all if they stay, just saying that maybe the bags under his eyes is enough.
The gameboy is perfect. Maybe tone down the shadows, are they too strong?
Lastly, I'd love to see how it looks with a white dot or something like that for highlight on the glass.
I'm sort of 50/50 on the crows feet, so I'll try it without 'em and see what I think.
I can agree with the shadow, though I tried the lighter gray and it was too light, maybe I'll learn how to properly use halftones and get that shadow done better, though it doesn't strike me as too dark for now.
And I'll through in a little shine and see if it helps the design.

I tried out the white on the glass and it looked pretty weird, so I ended up dropping it. I fixed the shadows a bit, and am submitting it, right now! I appreciate all the input guys and gals!
