Why'd Mike do it on Cal's birthday? What's the significance there? Surely he must have known it was his birthday. Sad stuff. :(

I don't think Irene will ruin my life or anything. I'm glad I'm not on the eastern shore though. geeze : /
Hurricanes seem to skip right over or around little Sarasota.

It's gonna be named JAKE FRIEDMAN
HURRICANE JAKE FRIEDMAN
I did not cheat. am I right?
unless you just edited the wikipedia page.
Home Depot should sponsor a Hurricane and name it "Malthra The Destroyer."
I bet that would sell a lot of plywood.
Why'd they have to name a hurricane after me? I'd prefer it if people would name their kittens after me.
^^ Irene just entered the blog! 0 - o
I'll name my next kitten Irene.
Welcome, Irene! We expect to see your namesake here in NYC on Sunday.
Why don't they have a Q hurricane. C'mon Hurricane Quinlan!
I'm heading to Williamsburg for a hurricane party. If we run out of power, at least I'll have drunken shadow puppet partners.
no way. it's hurricane quincy.
i don't like williamsburg. i went on vacation there when i was a kid. we got lost and it's really boring.
How do you get lost in Williamsburg? They have good sandwiches there!
I agree, it's super boring down there. But that's where my sister lives and she is not boring. Plus, she has food and drinks and video games and stuff.

How do you get lost in Williamsburg?
I was wondering the same thing!
I once got lost in Newark, DE. With a gps.
it was night time and we had gone to a restaurant for dinner. instead of taking a cab or bus back to our motel, we decided to walk and ended up getting lost. i'm sure it wasn't that bad, but since i was 6 or so at the time, i thought we were lost forever.
After Bertha and Fran my dad's second story condo had pinfish e'erywhere.
Not really relevant to this hurricane per-say, but I'm telling you all anyway.
I believe we also lost power for over a week during Fran, and just cooked on our gas grill we had in the garage the whole time. FUN.
This is what you guys get for having an ocean less than 12 hours away.
IT AIN'T NATURAL, I SAY.
