The japanese character "ストーム" (katakana alphabet) mean "storm". The concept is to mix the Storm Trooper with Japanese culture: calligraphy cut by a katana.

Ah gotcha. Well, looks pretty good to me. I did a similar design last year which was declined (Lucas copyright) but this one could be subtle enough to pass.

Thank you for the encouragement, Reags! I imagine that's Storm Troopers' design are pretty spread. but it's the first for me ;)

Update! I think it's more efficient like that. I still have no title... Maybe "Calligraphic Trooper"

Thank you Q! "Soldier of the Great Empire" sounds good... Japan was an empire for a long time

ibeenthere

maybe lose the japanease reference in the title, cause it's very well drawn and clear...so how about "ink in the storm" "dark space" (which is also a design ref - negetive space which referes to white on black) for japanease titlte maybe "storm shogun" "white samurai" (because samurai are warriors who defend their master said in a deep voice and a deep bow) :)

Thanks a lot!

@ibeenthere : I think it's cool to keep a japanese reference. Thanks for your suggestion there are welcome. For now, "Soldier of the Great Empire" is my favorite.

But your suggestions made me think of "Inked Trooper". Is it a good english?

Ahah, thanks Anna-Maria!

I emailed Rachel. I hope that her ray gun will break this error.

Sorry but the extension between 'ト”' and ”ム” needs to be vertical. Great design otherwise.
