I saw E.T. in the theater too. I was mad at first, because I had my heart set on Return of the Jedi, but it was sold out.
By the end I thought it was so awesome, I didn't care. Plus my dad bought me a Return of the Jedi shirt on the way out of the mall.

My uncle took my cousin and I to see the 1960's Batman movie at a Saturday matinee. That's pretty much the first movie theater movie I remember, and it was awesome.

I'm 38 this year. Also, I have no Idea how I forgot to mention A Christmas Story (1983).
I saw E.T. with my parents, then for a friend's birthday, then with both sets of grandparents, then with my sister's friends. I think I saw it 6 or 7 times during the original run. It was such a huge deal back then.

Oh, shit! I can't even remember how many Bond films I saw in the theater. I can think of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983), A View to a Kill (1985) and License to Kill (1989) for sure.
