not babushka. Babushka means old lady or grandmother. Matrioshka means mother doll and is the correct term (have been yelled at by my russian Baba (grandmother) several times on this. lol

Some of you have probably heard them referred to as "nesting dolls." And yeah, it's matrioshka. Correcting people without doing research is a poor idea, fish.
