Poor Lil Guy....Someday, someday...
Poor Lil Guy....
my opinion you should replace the typewriter font with hand drawn lettering, it looks out of place, like an afterthought.
but that said, I love the concept and art
my opinion is that it's great, the expressions, the cartoon style, the joke, the execution
IT's all here keep it up Urban
This idea is from a Far Side comic...
also placement is sweet.
Awww!! Poor Dino... this tee is so cool, I like it best at the bottom. I agree with Funlike though; text should be hand-drawn. :)
cute, but i'd make the image a little smaller than it is now, because it seems a little crammed into the shirt.
really cute idea though, i remember going to disney land when i was 4 and not being able to go on any of the rides...
also change the typewriter font.
i saw this in a far side comic
A city-destroyingly awesome idea Urban (I am a huge fan of the Far Side and do not remember this one, so if others cannot produce some linkage evidence i suggest they give it a rest)! Love the concept, the execution is pretty good, and dig it the most on the bottom of the tee. But i agree with the sign type, plus i think one of those monty python-esque hands would be better pointing instead of the arrow. Still a 4$ for the rampaging good times depicted here!
what far side comic are you talking about?
like it !
ha ha ha - that's funny :)
I don't recall this idea in any Far Side comic... Most excellent design. I like centered on the shirt, as I prefer to tuck my shirts in. I'm funny like that.
love this ! (:
fun, and a nice drawing style
i agree with funlike, the lettering on the sign should look handwritten
other than that funny shirt $5
different text. $5
i can do handwritten font easily.
not a problem
This is sweet.
diff text and placement
great idea! text should be hand written!
haha! awesome idea! 5! :)
Upper placement is best.
It reminds me of The Ultimate Showdown.
FWIW, there is a Far Side comic with this exact text and featuring a too-short monster; however, it does not have the second, tall monster.
The only option for more concrete evidence is, unfortunately, a physical search through Larson's complete collection (4000+ cartoons, mind you), since according to Wikipedia: "It is difficult to find many Far Side cartoons online, since Larson (and/or his publishers and lawyers) has been very effective at persuading people to not infringe on his copyright. There is a widely distributed letter online, attributed to Gary Larson, in which he explains the "emotional cost" to him of people displaying his cartoons on their websites, and asks them to stop doing so."
awesome dude! i agree with changing to the hand-drawn font. lemme $5 this now so u can work on it when they finally emailed you that this had won :D
I'm not sure about this whole farside thing, but given UrbanRaptors past on this site - his 'oh my Godzilla' contest, previous designs, and even his name, i think its safe to assume, that giant monsters attacking cities is never far from his mind.
I reckon, he's thought of this idea and just been completly unaware of the far side one.
So 5$ from me, but change the font.
This was absolutely a far side comic, they're right.
Yep I second what 700 said, $5
i really wanna see this comic, cause honestly the only comic i read is foxtrot.
I like the lower placement
awww, poor little guy! great cartoony style :)
far side, definitely far side.
you can keep saying that, but i don't believe it till i see it...
aw! poor sad little guy!
Love it, love the idea and the art work..not loving the style of font. Maybe something more..handwritten looking the type writer font just doesnt go with the art style
that's such a copy of of a farside comic.
where is the farside comic that you all speak of. post it.
read evilstan's comment, he explained why you can't post it. if that doesn't satisfy you go here http://www.portmann.com/farside/home.html. then i would suggest getting your hands on some farside books, even if you don't find that specific one, its worth it.
im not going to get a farside comic.
you can buy me one.
here it is, but who knows how long it will last
it didn't post, go here http://www.abc.se/~pa/txt/bilder/larstall.jpg
i see it.
well i had no idea that existed.
oh well. on to the next design.
place it at the bottom. it looks way better down there.
haha! soo cute
Whatever... it may be copyright infringement but his shirt is way cuter. I'm with the rest on the type.
