Building tightly knit communities is the best form of resistance. Organization and mutual care open the door to new, more conscious societies and, with them, to a fairer world, that is: a better world. To reach this state of interdependence, we can learn a lot from fungi and their fungal networks, a perfect example of what ecology means: the correct interrelationship between organisms. Through these fungal networks, fungi communicate with each other and—among many other functions where mutual care is the protagonist—transport nutrients to plants and defend them from diseases. If we want to advance as a society and as a species we will have to take care of each other, but above all we will have to take care of the other species. Everything is inextricably linked.
