About this Design
This image features a graveyard scene with an ominous black cat standing atop a gravestone. The foreground includes tombstones and a figure with an outstretched arm, potentially a zombie. Large, bold, red Japanese characters are overlaid on the scene. The style is reminiscent of comic book art with strong, contrasting colors and thick, distressed outlines.
@rupertbeard
was drawing a yokai for inktober and in my research of that I found the nekomata. A ordinary cat that as it grows older, transforms itself into an “obake”, sprouting a second tail and becoming more human like. Oh, and just for fun, they can raise and control the dead. I clearly need to read more Japanese folklore because this shit is metal af.
