“A piece of my childhood, turned into a graphic. Growing up in the ’80s and ’90s, the world sometimes felt like a pretty strange place. There was the constant fear of nuclear war, stories of alien abductions, monsters, UFOs, and all the weird imagery that filled our imaginations. Then, when I was 12 years old, I lost my mother—something that changed my life forever. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I found two things that gave me an escape: skateboarding and making art. Skateboarding gave me freedom. Art gave me a way to take all the strange thoughts, fears, and ideas running around in my head and turn them into something I could actually see. This graphic is a tribute to that time in my life. It mixes the things that fueled my imagination as a kid—skate culture, monsters, skeletons, UFOs, astronauts, nuclear nightmares, and psychedelic weirdness—into one chaotic world. It’s a little creepy, a little funny, and completely unapologetic. More than just a T-shirt graphic, this is a snapshot of how art and imagination helped me keep my head together when the world around me felt overwhelming. Created by an artist, inspired by a childhood that refused to be ordinary.”
