About this Design

This design features a geometric pattern composed of variously sized rectangles and squares outlined in thin black lines. Some of the shapes are filled in with solid red, blue, or yellow colors. The overall arrangement is structured yet abstract, reminiscent of the De Stijl art movement often associated with Piet Mondrian's works.

Print inspired by my map painting that is inspired by the American roadway. It is also inspired by Mondrian. I do remember seeing one at the Tate Modern Art Gallery and discovering that his lines were not always as perfect as they were in books at art school. Follow us on Instagram @emeline_tate
