About this Design

The image showcases a humorous piece of typography featuring the text 'A malaphor is worth a thousand birds.' The phrase plays on the concept of malapropisms and idioms, creating a witty and ironic message. The text is presented in a typewriter-style font with a black on white design, focusing solely on the wordplay without additional graphics.

In language strange and wild, I've heard A phrase that's most absurd A malaphor, a jumbled blend Of words that make no sense, my friend It's when two phrases cross their wires And mix like gas and open fires The meaning lost, the message blurred Like puzzle pieces, all misheard "Oh, we'll burn that bridge when we get there," "Let's cross that bridge when it's time to burn," Two phrases fused, a language scare A malaphor, a lesson learned It's like a train that's off the rails A language ship that sinks and fails But in its wake, a laugh it leaves A pun that's ripe, a joke that weaves So if you hear a phrase that's strange That's mixed and matched, a verbal change Just know it's likely a malaphor A mix-up of words, nothing more.
