This design was submitted to the Illuminating / Ultimate Gray design challenge. Set the tone of positivity and optimism with Pantone’s Colors of the Year for 2021— PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. This color palette uplifts the human spirit and inspires optimism that there are sunny days ahead with a theme of resilience. Like a sunflower emerging out of cracked concrete, or sun rays slicing through storm clouds like a hot knife through butter, light up the darkness and radiate positivity.

Inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa painting, using a play on Great/Gray - I really like the colour combination, and the yellow really shines out against the grey which is why I chose a circle composition, to represent the sun.
