Over in the UK teachers love to make kids look stupid by asking them to repeat tongue twisters in class as fast as they can. How they laugh when the shame faced pupils develop stammers and other speech impediments.
This one above is the most popular weapon of choice, red lorry, yellow lorry.
(A lorry is a kind of truck, for those not familiar with Englishisms.)
This is another amzing type tee you've created. 5
5$ Just awesome.
what is a lorry? i like the lolly. great design. not a huge fan of the grey/gray shirt. wonderful font work.
I like the design. I definitely needed the explanation though, but it's still great.
Brilliant, i like the way you've handled the colour transitions too. 5£
I had no idea 'Lorry' was just an English thing...
long distance Clara approves this message
I love it! beautiful type. My only question is why does the last "lorry" look different? $$5!
Never heard of lorry. We always said "Red Leather Yellow Leather." Try saying "Swiss Wrist Watch" five times.
In the US, I've most often heard "lorry" replaced with "leather."
yeah it's leather in australia too. looks nice though.
who cares if you've never heard the word lorry, it doesn't make the design look any less awesome!
that so nice!!
It doesn't twist my tongue.
I love the type, i love the idea, im just not into "lorry". Toy boat is one that's hard to say over and over, but maybe just having the word "tongue" over and over and the entire thing being a piece of tounge twisting would have a better impact? Still great stuff.
Thanks for comments.
haha tis is funny :) we do them with drama but saying 'red leather yellow leather'
On I like is 'i want a propper cup of coffee in a proper copper coffee pot'
stunning, the type looks amazing... and what a great tongue twister
Nice one, especialy since the last one is a yarrow lolly!
^bias. Adorable bias.
haha, this is so awesome! If it doesn't print at threadless, please get it printed somewhere else.
Also, lol at long distance clara. Also 2, no lorries in the US, whaaaaaat?!
I'm making a US version. Hopefully that one will be more marketable.
Thanks for support.
That's all well and good, but I want this one
it's common knowledge to know about the "red lorry, yellow lorry" thingie they have in UK. atleast all of my friends got this. I think this one's great, please don't bother making a US version, if someone doesn't get this, they shouldn't buy it. I hope this gets printed, maybe Threadless folk are a bit smarter than those who complain that "there are no lorries in US!". 5.
I keep coming back to look at this one. Really love it. Really hope Threadless see the fantastic artwork even if the content/concept is unfamiliar.
Cheers to steven218 for the linking idea.
After reading your description I really like it.
Hahah, nice one! ^^
Looks great whether you know what it's on about or not!
Excellent - LOVE IT!
i really like this, even though im an ignorant american.
i think itd look super swell on white
holy jeez, that's pwerdy!
really awesome job, did you mean for the last lorry to be different?
^ heheh - yeah. Yerrow Lolly is what I end up saying.
A US version is now pending.
Thanks for support.
Thanks for all support and comments.
Shitty score, man. Deserves way better, will be interested to see how the US version fares.
low score, but still a good chance of a print
Ta, I'm surprised a type tee got this response at all. I think the US version will only fair slightly better.
I think this should get printed side by side with the U.S version, like these: http://www.threadless.com/product/1197/One_Lump_Or_Two
A definate $5 for the British version. ;)
