things to remember
Designs rarely make me slobber, this one however has me swimming in the stuff.
5$ of course
2nd best design I've ever seen on here.
You, this design, and sometimes spicy foods make me hot in the pants.
I really love this Olli. I think this is your first print! Although I kinda thought a couple of your recent subs would be your first print, they've all been great. This is a great contrast of the happy scientists to the horror they are facing. Awesome!
still think it needs a smaller orange patch but its still good =)
great job, it's a print!
great job... but i dont like the colour....
5 ... 5$ in different colours.
it also looks good on blue, i'll upload some alternative colours in the blog soonish!
i love the thing. hopefully this will be your first print!! I can feel it.
(unless you already have one coming and you HAVEN'T TOLD ANYONE YET!!!!)
HQ version, since the link in the first post was broken:
I would wear this just on principle.
and then I'd wear it because it's awesome.
and then I'd wear it because all my other shirts are dirty and I don't really feel like doing laundry.
Happy may 17th two days late! Also, this kicks arse.
Awesome! Ive been watching the development of this on the blogs and love the finished product.
it's a tribute to The Thing, one of my fave films.
I would wear it until an alien creature burst out of my chest, or latched onto my head, or oozed out my eyes, or attached itself to my intestine...or anything else evil alien monsters do
Looks Great Olli. Here's hoping my head wont crawl off if I wear it.
^ what the vulcan said
one of my favorite films as well (and it's instantly recognizable - you did a fantastic job on the characters).
i really really really hope this one gets printed.
so when's the Big Trouble in Little China tribute coming out? hm? ;)
Excellent illustration!!! 5
ha! I was just going to ask about the norwegian flag too!
the norwegians dug up the damn thing in the first place, remember?:)
pure, unadulterated awesomeness..!
this must be printed..!
awesome just awesome
Olli I told ya people wouldn't get it! :(
i don't know how many will get the movie reference...
Kurt Russell forever!
oh and i second Rudra^
I love the movie, "The Thing," but it
didn't come to mind when I first
saw the design. I think all the pink
makes it look like something aimed
at kids ( like Nickelodeon's green
Now that I'm clued in, I see Kurt
Russel's character, the human-head-
crab creature, and the dog creature.
The talking T-Rex, the pink triangle
nose (scarecrow?), and the flood of pink
juice all over the place aren't elements
that remind me of the movie.
the whole point was making it cute and happy as a humourous contrast to the film, you know...It's a very abstract interpretation, but that's totally intentional.. If i wanted it to look close to the movie, i woulda used a completely different style.
that said, all of the elements in the design are loosely based on things seen in the film, nothing that would cause copyright problems though.
i dont get it.
i must have missed that movie (which ever one it was)
funkstart: wilford brimley is the one in the black jacket!
gotta love the pink!
i love the naked holy kid :D
you hit the nail on its head, funkstart. i tried to design it in a way that would be enjoyable both for fans and those who don't know about the film, i think it can stan pretty well on its own.
stand, i mean.
this has to be printed. . . . love your work
Yay ! My first steve swartz sighting outside
of the threadless blog area.
Thanks for the votes and comments folks!
Dang, man. The Thing is like my favorite horror movie. You even had the little ambulatory spider-head in there. Good stuff.
You're one of my favorite designers on here right now.
