The Stag's Silent Ruin
Wow, very nice!
great new style. love the hand drawn look. per usual $5.
gorgeous work, im glad you didnt submit to big buck hunter, because I dont need to compete with this :) 5$
Nicely done, as always. This is a little creepy to me, for some reason.
maybe he meant to sub it to big buck.
really good, but unfortunately, I came from hicksville...(and do not care for hunting and the like...5+++ though
aw, this i would wear very proudly. it kinda reminds me of the part in harry and the hendersons when bigfoot finds all the mounted animal heads and gives the ppl a sad look and then takes the stuffed animals outside. anyhow, i really like the colors you used on this. great job!
I too am from hicksville and do not really care for hunting. That was the whole reason I did this. It's not a pro-hunting scene, which is why I didn't sub it for buck hunter.
I should have included this explanation above, but I was at a cabin where they have this huge stone fireplace and a beautiful elk mounted on it. I don't really care for mounted animals. I think it looks disgraceful and awkward. I questioned why people like animal mounts. The only answer I arrived at was permanance. The reason they stuff animals is they seek to give permanence to something they think is fleeting. I thought, wouldn't it be cool if the permanence they sought to give the animal outlasted themselves, and the cabin surrounding the animal. This scene takes place many years after the animal was killed. The cabin has erroded to nothing. Yet, the gun, the deer, and the chimney have all remained. Why? This is for you to answer.
It is different from what you usually do, but just as good!!
dude, I was wondering why you subbed this for Josh Ritter and you mentioned above that you intended this for Buck Hunter, which makes sense. Email the Threadless peeps, I'm sure they'll change it for you ;-) oh yeah, and ace work as usual
ah....forget me. I just read your explaination.
you are like...god
this is quite well done. i hope it get's printed...5$
all i can do is $5 this
Really nice! Your use of light/shadows is stunning, and the detail even more so. The deer have great character to them and I love the description! $5.
yes yes yes!
amazing I see another print... $5
my god man...
your technique is outstanding. I've been blown away by every single one of your subs.
Skillz....you have them.
wonderfully mysterious, great sketchyness
This is great. You should submit this into the new contest. The deer hunter one. 5
This is absolutely fabulous.
you're going to make my wallet cry for mercy aren't you - i kinda agree this should be in the deerhunter comp - it's not pro-hunting (it's sorta the opposite) - but i don't think there's really going to be a lot of truely pro-hunting subs anyway - 5$
thanks everybody! Yeah Lorem, my name is Christopher Paul indeed! Great name you and I have! HAHA!
my name is christopher paul too!
(no, it's not really)
this is the saddest thing i've ever seen. And i see babies eaten by horned animals in front of their mothers on a daily basis. Well, not really, but this is still perfect and beautiful at any rate. Wow, you've been really into the browns and Western motifes recently! Great stuff man! 4$
Every sub, 5$
nice work. Good job producing the hand-drawn pen & ink style from a computer program. I can see that Im never going to win as long as You're submitting designs! The scene is a little chilling tho :-0
thanks guys! just to clarify, this one was actually done with pencil on paper and then scanned into photoshop. The coloring is done in illustrator.
Dude, that's sweet. Nice work. $5
the only word I can think of to describe this is 'powerful'. I am in awe, this is amazing even for your starndards.
this is great. Please submit it for the Big Buck Dear Hunter contest. You would win for sure.
thats so detailed..
Awe, sad. But I like it.
the detaila are fantastic and the limited color pallete really gives this a haunting feel that strengthens the overall tone. all in all, beautiful work!
PRETTY! 5$ =)
I love the detail that you put into it.
