An area with potential to be an intriguing new trend is the use of shirts for storytelling, like one-frame movies. A shirt story could be epic or intimate, simple or complex, sensible or silly, and in whatever style an artist likes.

With my sheep 'story', I thought of those old 'history paintings' which took key moments from different events and hinted at what went before and what happened after. One thing with my story... I'd really like to know how it ends!

Thanks for the support! This sort of art doesn't seem common on Threadless so I was curious to see how it would go.
tyreeimagery: I just had a look at your design, and although the score wasn't bad I'm surprised it wasn't higher. I think your trend point was excellent, of course!
GreatClips: I hadn't thought of a series. Maybe a movie? In 4D?

Great Clips: that series idea is great! I'm not sure how it'd go on a competition site like Threadless, but telling a story on a small series of tees is an unusual idea that could really work. So... go for it!

I'm all about shirts as storytellers! Your multiple styles are consistently amazing for different reasons every time, what an incredible feeling of intensity and artistry evident in this piece! Really like it, maybe a tad smaller on the tee, very wearable.

Blackflower

Simply stunning. I agree w/ FA - make it a smidge smaller and you got yourself a winner.

Thanks again for all the positives! timpaint: my original sketch had the castle on fire and a couple of other things, but I left them out for two reasons: first, I ran out of time in my self-imposed deadline; second, I wondered if the extras might distract from the main characters. I'm still not sure if I made the best choice or not!

Well, voting's over. I'm glad some people liked this design, and the comments you guys made have let me know that this direction may be worth pursuing, although with changes. Whether I pursue it now or some other time, I don't know! My style is affected by the concept, and concepts are unpredictable (and hard). Meanwhile, I'll enjoy checking out more of your designs and slogans! Maybe I can 'borrow' a few... ;)
