THE CITY LETRASET
I really like the underground drill vehicle,
but not many are going to know what Letraset is.
And even if everyone was familiar with it,
does the concept/ design do a great job of grabbing
the viewer? I'm hesitant to say yes.
so here's the explaniation...in ancient times before computers were the necessary tools the are today designers worked with letraset, a plastic sheet that contained letters simbols...patterns whatever, this transfers where put on top of the paper and all you had to do is sketch over it with a pencil...voila! ready, i guess it's just a way to catch up with the old tools!
I would buy this no matter what the colours are.
it's cute, but there are too many things going on in the graphic. Perhaps, if there was some color, it would be better, and not look so hectic
This is a really nice design! It's a 5 and $ for sure but my only concern would be the printability of your fine strokes and detail. Would they get lost?
Inquiring minds want to know: what does it say above the little pencil at the top?
i could imagine C86 doing something akin to this.
its rad and i'm down with Tesko's colour comment.
Holy shit, letraset! i'm $5'ing this all the way.
i'd love other colors tho, threadless has enough light blue tees...
any color you like!
i believe that threadless has the possibility of printing small details to a certain point just by looking where the size and designers name in the t shirt there are small letters...and perfectly seen
love letraset, love this.
5$ all day
5$ for me, too ... but I ditto mezo's Q ... what does it read above the pencil?
I love letraset!!!
this is one design that could look nice on a white tee
I really love this! This is my kinda shirt!
above the pencil says :pencil friendly..heheh
Good job +5
neat & nice
5 from me
this is pretty badass
Awesome, great design, the best I've seen in a while.
HOLY LETRASET! I love it.
As for colors, I really like how it looks with black (classic letraset) on gray/silver, as if the shirt is acting as the frosted transparent backing.
yeah that is good
I absolutely love this andwould buy in a heartbeat. But Pastio, do you really think that letraset comes under 'art history'?! come on - its a tool, not a movement!
white on gray or just black either way i think i would look cool
finally something different. I like!
hi Pastio, i'm one of those oldies who used letraset in my early days and i genuinely do look on it with frustrated affection. i still wouldn't place it high up on my list of art history however - i think i'll keep in the fond memory box along with cow gum, and reserve the tag 'history' for decent briefs and budgets!
i strongly believe that what pastio is referring too is the appreciation of design as art not just as a simple commercial work but something more profund!
my god this place can get serious at times
