About "Shenandoah Owl" by treemanjake
During one of our most recent visits to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, we had the pleasure of seeing an amazingly beautiful brown and white barred owl in a tree on the side of the road. We were driving down Skyline drive (the gorgeous, winding road that runs through the park) when a huge owl flew out of the woods and landed on a tree right next to our car. It was the most beautiful bird I had ever seen and I will never forget the piercing stare of it's dark eyes. This design is inspired by my favorite National Park and my encounter with this beautiful creature. The branch that the owl is resting on is also inspired by a really interesting bare tree that can be seen from one of the overlooks on Skyline drive.
