rule no. 3
my design is inspired by Lomography's Golden Rule no. 3:
"Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it."
what i love about Lomography is that it's not just about taking pictures, but capturing moments, anytime and anywhere. the pictures taken evokes memories, but displays them as if still in a dream. i tried to convey that.
no specialty inks would be required.
8 colors on silver gray.
this is my first design here at threadless. hope you like it.
nice first submission.
Pretty nice sub.
i love the concept. :)
this is the best shirt i've seen so far, it's just my taste! great job man!
thank you for the kind words.
anything i could do to make it better?
thank you. thank you.
Nice lil scene you've got here. I like all the different kinds of life going on here.
i'm just hoping the design doesn't fall under "played out", as some people say with the cameras for heads theme. if i learned anything from this, it's to work and submit stuff right when i think about it, and not after finding out there are people with similar ideas as mine in the world. i'm just glad i didn't go with my "shoot from the hip" idea.
do you know what's wrong with it exactly?
is it the way it's drawn or you just don't like that camera.
it's a colorsplash.
thanks for the input. was the problem the way i drew it or just that the camera has a strange, misleading look. i'll try and make it more like the camera. he's facing the taxi but i can see what you mean.
the colorsplash was an interesting looking camera. i just wanted to add it in somewhere. is what you see as an eye the thing sticking out on it's side?
to Mukas shirts,
when you said you saw a face i just tried to see it too. i just wanted to see if my guess was the same as yours. looks like it was. i don't really worry about it. i just smiled when i saw it and gave myself a little victory when i found out i was right.
i hope you further explain. i'd like to know.
it wasn't so much that i was going for a scattered look, but just not going for any specific focus. you can pick anyone to be the main character (i picked the diana, just because it's my favorite, hence the middle spot). yours, i'm guessing, is the cab? the design was supposed to be more of just a shot of a city street. a day in the life. but maybe i should've had an actual central focus. it might've been easier to view that way.
thanks to you and everyone for the input.
i'm glad you think it's interesting.
i hope you mean in a good way.
4 to go.
thanks out to both of you.
i'm glad you like the brickwork. i was worrying about that when through the working stages. i'm not good at harmonizing randomness.
hey majose, ur mom was boring
remarkable first sub. great job!
thank you for that. it means a lot.
i'm glad i went with that then. there was a bit more color in the working stages.
one more day.
i think it's a little hard to tell what some of those heads are. i can tell the diana is a diana, but the others are not so obvious.

you could have a little mini-game and cross the lines to the matching words or something.
thanks. when i get more comfortable with Illustrator i'm gonna try and experiment with thinner lines so i could work in some more details.
almost reached my 2 goal.
thanks for playing everyone. till next time.
mike, you need to sub more
Wow, thanks Matt! My blog filters are off and I just noticed this. I forgot how feel-good these comments are.
