print is dead
gold foil for the yellow.
epic! I'd wear it $5
cool work !
Looks really nice apart from the actual "Print is dead" text which is angled all wrong to fit on the page.
AMAZING. Print. $5
This is pretty sweet. If it's selected I would also like to see the type addressed. It feels detached from the design to me.
thanks - I completely see what you guys mean with the type - now it's bugging me. So how does that work if chosen? Am I allowed to make a minor tweak, or does it need to be re-subbed? That would be an easy fix.
I like it
holy crap.. this is amazing!
This is amazing!!!!

I noticed on your website that you're an art director and wanted to share some friendly advice: the consequences of using work too similar to a freelance illustrator these days can be pretty brutal. They're very protective of their work. I would be careful in the future so as to avoid any dramatic events. The shirt demonstrates a great message and I'm behind it 100% but I think there may be safer ways to execute it.
In case you're still not sure of what I'm referring to, here's a link:
damn. if it was all original, i would of given this a 5&buy.
The concept of print becoming a dying form of art and communication has always interested me. The similarities between my art and Webbers are unavoidable. I came across his image a while back and the breaking down of the figure stuck in my head. While brainstorming ideas I totally admit to using his image as a jumping off point for my art.
I hand drew the image from scratch and digitally added the collage/paper effect. I wanted the halo around her head to reference the religious iconic art (life and death) as well as the touch of gold foil. I spent a lot of time on this, experimenting with new techniques and I am very proud of it. Unfortunately, when done, I did not think to compare my final product to his illustration.
I will defend my design, but I understand why the issue has been raised.
This is really cool.
drive-by linkage to original artwork
I think this is fine
it does resemble the work but is not the work.
i like it.
wow this is great!
thanks everyone :)
I don't agree that print is dead, but your artwork is amazing!
I had time to address the type. you can view the tweak on my profile! or go to:

The text change link did not work. With edited text this would be a contender to print.
While this looks similar to the above mentioned artists work, the concept and art is so different that I don't think it is a problem.
so cool 5!
this is great

and thank you everyone for the kind words, feedback and voted.

Would like it better without the gold around the circle up top, but awesome paper disintegration effect you've got going on here.
