Poor little Laika.
She's in a better place now.
Show some love.
Why did you submit this?
You know . . . first dog in space . . . never mind.
is this inspired by the graphic novel??
No, the historical event.
really clever, but I think the concept will go right over most of the voter's heads. I didn't understand it until I read the comments.
Maybe if you just removed "goes to heaven" from the text, this design wouldn't seem so sad.
I understood it instantly as soon as I saw the dog and the stars and the name. I love, love this sub. It is like candy illustrations of my parents' kids books on a shirt. 1950s illustrations, I think? awesome either way, because it looks vintagey. I vote black.
I marked it "I'd buy it."
Nice composition. Also, nov. 3rd is my birthday so extra points for learning something new about my bday.
really nice .. love the context and the design ... and my txt book didn't say that the dog survived ... seems that we dont have the same books north of the border ...
This event always makes me sad to consider: the excitement of the rush to get into space vs. the inhumanity of using an animal for this have always created a tension inside of me, with my compassion for the dog winning every time. Perhaps the design is a bit flippant, considering... I don't know...
I LOVE this... and the title is so clever! I can definitely think of at least 3 people I would by this for (other than myself)
Yes and Yes. Very nice!
Hurrah for Salt Lake.
